Corona FAQ

1. What are the National corona measures in place? 

We want to inform you on the current corona rules in the Netherlands, but be aware that these change constantly, so follow the news (English transalation available on the FB page “NOS in English”) or look it up yourselves on

  • Stay at home if you experience any symptoms such as: a cold, cough, shortness of breath, fever.
  • Keep at least a 1.5 meter distance from everyone outside of your household.
  • Wash your hands more frequently and do not shake hands with others. Cough or sneeze in your elbow or tissue.
  • Wearing a mask is mandatory in all public inside spaces; this includes university buildings.
  • You can have a maximum of one guest in your home per day.
  • The maximum group size outside is 2.
  • All shops, museums, restaurants, bars, cinemas, and other public inside spaces are closed. Supermarkets are open, but you are strictly advised to go by yourselves.
  • You can get tested by calling or booking a test via – only if you have symptoms or have been in contact with someone who has corona and you have quarantined for 5 days after seeing that person.

2. Campus regulations

Classes will unfortunately be online until further notice. This is due to the fact that the Netherlands is currently in a lockdown. Listed below are all the relevant covid-related regulations to campus life:

  • All UCSA events are online. The only exception are unit-based events, which you are allowed to participate in with your unit mates.
  • All UU buildings close at 18:00.
  • Classrooms will remain unlocked to be used as study areas with 2 people max.
  • Classrooms can similarly be rented out for study purposes with 2 people max.
  • The BPA, Drama Room, and Music Room can now be rented out individually.

3. UCSA office hours

According to UU regulations, UCSA Office Hours will mostly be online.

  • Office Hours will be on Mon-Wed from 18:00-19:00 and Thu-Fri from 13:00-14:00
  • There is a link to the Teams channel posted every day during office hours. There you can come by for questions or to reserve items.
  • If you want to reserve equipment, please send an email to (you can find an overview of the UCSA’s equipment here)
  • You can come by the UCSA Office in downstairs Dining Hall to pick up reserved items and return equipment
  • Feedback Hours will remain on Tuesday 13:00-14:00 and will happen online.
