Enactus is an international non-profit organization that brings together business, academic and student leaders who are committed to using the power of entrepreneurial action to improve the quality of life and standard of living for people in need. We are a team of 32 international honours students who are committed to using the power of social entrepreneurship in order to manifest results for real world challenges, both in The Netherlands and abroad.
Enactus UCU is currently running 5 different projects, four in the Netherlands (Kom ErBij, Groene Vingers, SeniorenSamen) and one abroad in Kenya (Baraka Fish Farm). We work hard to improve the quality of life and standard of living for people in need by implementing these entrepreneurial projects, while allowing our members to develop leadership skills and practical experience by enabling them to apply concepts they are learning in class to real world situations.
Enactus is different to most committees on campus, as your involvement in Enactus, through weekly meetings, field visits, and to-dos, is on average five hours a week and requires consistent motivation and dedication. As a member (depending on the stage of your project) you will be tasked with market research, demographic investigation, approaching companies, pitching ideas, policy composition, social work, and much more.
The team is comprised of 5 projects. Each project is led by a project leader, and comprised of six to seven members. As a new member you apply to Enactus as a team, and after the two application rounds, the board assigns you to a project while taking your preferences into account.
