UCU’s very own mindfulness committee

MindfulCo is a committee on the University College Campus that aims to take care of students’ wellbeing and help them connect spiritually. We wish to create an atmosphere in which you can relax and become more aware of your surroundings, by offering open classes and courses. We plan weekly meditation, mindfulness and yoga sessions in our meditation room. Apart from that, we organize workshops, discussions and trips, ranging from stress relief to embodiment, from hot yoga to wine yoga. We hope to make students feel more grounded and connected. To be happy and content, we first have to know how to take care of ourselves, and MindfulCo is here to help you!

Weekly activities:

  • Meditation and yoga – taught by students, in the meditation room

 

Recurring activities:

  • Hot yoga – a wonderful way of cleansing your body
  • Wine yoga – a mindful way of tasting wine and connecting to our bodies
  • Mindful Munchies – handing out of healthy snacks during midterms and finals
  • Lectures on spirituality and religion
  • Collaborations with other committees
  • And many more to come
