UCU’s very own mindfulness committee

MindfulCo is a committee on the University College Campus that aims to take care of students’ well being. We wish to create an atmosphere in which you can relax and become more aware of your body and mind, by offering open classes and courses. We plan weekly meditation, mindfulness, yoga and massage sessions in our meditation room. Apart from that, we organize workshops, discussions and trips, ranging from stress relief to embodiment, from hot yoga to beer yoga. We hope to give students more stability and peace. To be happy and content, we first have to know how to take care of ourselves, and MindfulCo is here to help you!

Weekly activities:

Meditation, yoga and massage sessions – taught by students, in the meditation room

Recurring activities:

  • Hot yoga – a wonderful way of cleansing your body
  • Beer yoga – a mindful way of enjoying a beer in the bar
  • Mindful Munchies – handing out of healthy snacks during midterms and finals

Workshops (varying each semester):

  • Embodiment
  • Authentic Relating
  • Silence day
  • Stress relief & Mindfulness
  • Discussions on the topic of wellbeing
  • Collaborations with other committees
